Somerville City Council President Endorses Katjana
“It has been my great privilege and pleasure to work with Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, whom I succeeded as Ward 7 City Councilor. From leading us through the aftermath of the COVID pandemic to increasing the schools’ budget when other communities are making cuts, to protecting our immigrant population by suing the Trump Administration, Katjana has always been out in front looking out for Somerville. The city needs her strong leadership and her steady hand at the helm,” said Pineda Neufeld.
“I greatly appreciate Judy’s endorsement, and I know I can continue to rely on her,” said Ballantyne. “She has been a good partner as we’ve worked to make Somerville a city where everyone has a seat at the table and the opportunity to thrive. As we face the challenges ahead, it’s good to know I have the support of people like Judy.”
Somerville’s preliminary election is set for Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
